| Day
1. |
Darwin
to Kakadu - We leave Darwin early in our air-conditioned
four wheel drive vehicle and travel towards Kakadu National
Park, stopping along the way at the Bark Hut Inn. Entering
the Park we visit the spectacular scenery and Aboriginal
rock art of Nourlangie Rock. After a picnic lunch, we cruise
the beautiful Yellow Water billabong, home to a wide variety
of bird life and possibly the lurking saltwater crocodile.
We set up camp for the evening, having dinner around the
camp, under the stars.

Kakadu
- Kakadu After an early breakfast, we depart on our
big day out to Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls. These falls
are in a remote area of the Park only accessible by four
wheel drive vehicle, some 70 kilometres off the sealed road
via a dirt track. The rock pools and surrounds are magnificent
and well worth the journey. Twin Falls is only accessible
by water (there is no land track) so we take a short boat
ride through the gorge, then walk to the base of the falls.
After a picnic lunch on the banks of the river, we take
the hike through the rainforest to Jim Jim Falls and its
crystal clear waters. We return to the camp for dinner and
overnight.

Airport where you will take a short flight into Arnhem Land.

will meet you. Arrive in time to take a sunset cruise on
the billabong.
